A set of four 58.1-volt, 3.56kwh (MAX) lithium-ion batteries provide ample power for mowing a minimum of 22+ greens, including at least 6 miles of transport on a single charge. 

  • On greens that average 6,500 square feet of turf, this equates to approximately 143,000+ square feet of mowing capacity
  • More or less greens may be mowed, depending on the size of the greens on the course, as well as how much transporting is required between greens

The included 1200-watt charger will recharge the battery packs from 0% to 100% in approximately 12 hours. Charging speed will be quicker if the battery is not fully depleted, prior to charging. Once charging has been completed, there’s no need to unplug the charger, it will automatically shut off. You can have one 1200-watt charger per 15-amp circuit.

If you asked golf course superintendents or turf managers what some of their biggest worries are on their property, hydraulic leaks would be very high on the list. These hydraulic leaks can cause several issues that include:

  • Unsightly turf Damage
  • Potential vehicle damage
  • Loss of revenue

When a leak does occur, it can be difficult for operators to actually detect the issue. Often times it takes a trained eye to spot a hydraulic leak and by the time it is noticed, significant damage has already been done.

As a battery-electric triplex mower, the 2775 E-Cut™ Electric will give turf managers peace of mind by eliminating all hydraulic leak potential. This mower features several electric components that replace the traditional hydraulic ones:

  • (4) lithium-ion battery packs
  • Reel motors
  • Traction motors
  • Steering motor

In addition to reducing the stress from potential leaks, the completely electric solution will also eliminate all preventative maintenance required on traditional, hydraulic mowers. Whether it’s checking hoses for abrasions that could become holes, changing hydraulic fluid every 250 hours or even repairing creep within the traction system, hydraulically driven machines require a ton of extra maintenance and parts. By utilizing the 2775 E-Cut™ Electric triplex mower, not only are you freeing up time for your equipment manager to work on other machines, but you’re also going to spend less money on parts, too.

The reel motors utilized are the same design and proven technology that is currently available on 2550, 2700, and 2750 E-Cut™ Hybrid Triplex Mowers.

The traction motors are exclusive to the 2775 E-Cut™ Electric triplex mower and produce an exceptionally quiet operation, not only when mowing but also when transporting. The electric traction motors also provide superior hill climbing capability.

Finally, the 2775 E-Cut™ Electric also utilizes an Integrated Smart Motor (ISM) for steering. The ISM powers a cogged timing belt that does not slip. There is no hydraulic fluid necessary and provides a near maintenance-free steering solution. This ISM is the same one that is used within the Whisper Link™ lift system.

Triplex mowers need to be one of the most versatile reel mowers in a turf manager’s fleet of equipment. They mow in an extremely wide variety of areas where more often than not, the ground is going to have varying degrees of undulation. These areas include:

With its advanced Whisper Link™ lift system, the 2775 E-Cut™ Electric is able to provide turf managers with incredible contour following capability, that includes:

  • 42 degrees of upward and downward movement (21 degrees upward, 21 degrees downward)
  • 36 degrees of lateral movement (18 degrees in each direction)
  • 36 degrees of front cutting unit steering (18 degrees in each direction)
  • 17 degrees of rear cutting unit steering (8.5 degrees in each direction)

This range of contour following capability ensures exceptional cut quality in not only difficult undulations and tricky perimeters but also on side-to-side rolling terrain.

The Whisper Link™ lift system uses a combination of flexible links and trusted John Deere Integrated Smart Motors (ISM) to raise/lower the cutting units. These components provide several advantages to customers that include:

  • Durability and Reliability
  • Maintenance free, with zero grease points

The Integrated Smart Motors were originally developed for use in John Deere Precision Seeding equipment, specifically ExactEmerge™ planters. They have been tried and tested on thousands of acres of farmland, which is proof of their durability.

Consistent cut quality, regardless of operator

As a superintendent/greenkeeper, turf manager, equipment manager, or other supervisor responsible for golf course maintenance, there are many aspects you are judged on every single day. Some that stand out include:

  • Quality of turf and overall playing conditions
  • Consistency from hole to hole (or area to area)

Golfers expect the highest level of playing conditions every time they play, and they expect hole #1 to play the same as hole #18. Over the years, those demands have increased as they continue to see picturesque tournaments on television.

However, one of the toughest challenges in the industry today is labor. With unemployment rates at very low levels and wages increasing, it is difficult to find labor, and when you do find it, it’s often unskilled. Skilled, experienced operators can typically provide the daily quality that you are seeking. However, how do you take those new, less-skilled operators and make them perform like a 20-year veteran? That’s where the 2700 and 2750 PrecisionCut™ and E-Cut™ Hybrid Triplex Mowers can to help. The key is the advanced TechControl display, which allows you to enter a multitude of operating parameters to gain more control over your operators’ performance. In addition, the TechControl display is passcode protected, meaning that operators cannot do anything to override the settings that you have programmed without having the passcode. The operator can see limited information to operate the machine, such as:

  • Operating mode (park, transport, mow)
  • Fuel level
  • Hour meter
  • Warning indicators/alarms

No matter how many machines you have, if you set them all up the same, they will all perform the same regardless of operator.

Power and capacity to verticut or scalp with ease

Golf course superintendents and sports turf managers desired a fully electric triplex mower that could handle all of the same rigorous jobs that traditional triplex mowers were exposed to. The combination of our battery voltage, capacity, and proven electric reel motors* allow the 2775 E-Cut™ Electric to not only excel at mowing, but also verticutting and scalping. The best thing is, verticutting and scalping performance will not go down throughout the day. Since we utilize lithium-ion batteries, you can expect peak performance until the battery charge is depleted. From there, the cutting units will no longer engage, and the mower will have to be driven back to the shop to charge.

The 2775 E-Cut™ Electric Triplex will continue to utilize the Quick-Adjust 5 cutting units outfitted with carbide-tipped verticutter blades. Simply set the verticut blades to a depth of up to 0.125” (3.2 mm) and operate like normal. For scalping applications, just set the height of cut to your desired height and mow! Battery run-times will vary in these more rigorous applications, depending upon the depth of verticut and aggressiveness of scalp.

JDLink™ connectivity offers near real-time machine data

John Deere ride-on golf equipment and the 185/225 E-Cut™ Electric Walk Greens Mower utilize a JDLink™ modem to harness data off the machine. The modem relays this information via a cellular network to the John Deere Operations Center™. Golf course superintendents and field managers have access to this vast amount of information that they can use to make more informed decisions on their properties.
